Target Group

Personnel managing and following up roaming, roaming steering and roaming related messaging, by operating and administrating SmartTrust SmartRoam^TM.

The Goal

The aim of this course is to develop an understanding of how to use the roaming steering, messaging and messaging capabilities of SmartTrust SmartRoam. Participants will learn how to manage Roaming and Messaging Zones, set up Roaming Profiles, and to create and modify roaming steering parameters.

Optionally, we also take a look at the different components of SmartRoam and the underlying SmartTrust Delivery Platform (DP) 7. Therefore, a one-day Operation and Management overview of the entire platform as well as Business Objects, which is the basis of Reporting Manager, is offered to system administrators.

By the end of the course the participants will be able to:

• Understand the basics of Network Roaming
• Use SmartRoam to steer roaming subscribers to preferred mobile networks
• Configure messages to inbound and outbound roamers
• Create and schedule reports using Reporting Manager

Training Method

The training course involves hands-on training, practical problems and classroom exercises to reinforce the theoretical instructions. The training course is computer based and requires access to the installed SmartTrust Delivery Platform system.

• Good English skills
• General knowledge of a cellular network and its components
• For day two, good UNIX and Oracle competence
