Target Group

Technical staff managing and following up device management and handset provisioning by administration, operation and maintenance of SmartProvisioning.

The Goal

The aim of this course is to develop an understanding of how to use the terminal capabilities repository, subscription groups, and device management capabilities of SmartTrust SmartProvisioning. Participants will learn how to manage TCR updates as well as the Self-care and Customer Care portals, set up provisioning contents in Profiles and Documents, and to create and modify subscription groups.

We will also take a look at the different components of SmartProvisioning and the underlying SmartTrust Delivery Platform (DP)8. Therefore, a daily operation and management overview of SmartProvisioning specific components as well as the related platform together with Business Objects which is the basis of Reporting Manager, will be described.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

• Understand the basics and complexities of Device Management
• Use SmartProvisioning to manage advanced device management
• Manage the Self-care and Customer Care portals
• Create and manage subscription groups
• Fully take advantage of the Terminal Update Program (TCR)

Training Method

The training course involves hands-on training, practical problems and classroom exercises to reinforce the theoretical instructions. The training course is computer based and requires access to an installed SmartTrust Delivery Platform system.

• General knowledge of a cellular network and its components
• Good UNIX and Oracle competence
