SmartAct enables reliable OTA management of the (U)SIM card. Capable of handling any card type from any manufacturer, it seamlessly handles any differences in the Java Card environment or remote applet management commands.
Formatting of OTA messages according to the appropriate OTA protocol. File content in the OTA download kept in temporary storage until the download is reported as successful. Databases automatically updated to reflect changes on the (U)SIM. Activate and deactivate subscriptions.
Batch mode
Support for large updates to the whole subscriber base in one operation, or to an operator-defined subset of subscribers. Advanced throttling mechanism to control download speed allows configuration of download rates and simultaneous running of multiple batch jobs.
Java Applet Manager (JAM)
Java Card applets can be either standalone Java SIM Toolkit applets or Java plug-ins that are used and accessed from the SmartTrust WIB. The JAM Server handles both types of applets.
