General Counsel, SmartTrust
Richard Berg has worked since the 1996 in the IT and Telecoms Industry and has been with SmartTrust since 2002 where he heads the legal department.
Immediately prior to joining SmartTrust, Mr. Berg held a position as Acting General Counsel of the Swedish Internet consulting firm Framfab where he took active part in a massive restructuring program, reducing the number of employees from 2600 in 13 countries to 600 in 5 countries, which avoided bankruptcy of the company.
Between 1996 and 2001 Mr. Berg held a position as legal counsel for a joint-venture between Ericsson and Hewlett-Packard also known as EHPT, which was a then leading provider of Customer Care and Billing Systems world-wide.
Prior to joining EHPT Mr. Berg lived for a few years in Italy where he worked for the Swedish Trade Council as well as two Italian law firms.
Fluent in several European languages, Mr. Berg graduated with a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from the Lund University in Sweden . |
